What this site is

RimeTime is a rhyme-finder and thesaurus tool. The rhyme and dictionary lookups run entirely in your browser — your searches are not sent to, or logged by, any server operated by us.

What we store, and where

Your theme choice (light/dark), your saved word list, and anything you type into the lyrics box are stored only in your browser's local storage, on your own device. Nothing is uploaded automatically. You can copy this data out at any time using the "Download JSON" or "Download PDF" buttons, and bring it back later with "Upload session".

Clearing your browser's site data for this domain, or using a private/incognito window, will remove everything stored this way.

Cookies and advertising

This site does not currently run ads, use cookies, or use any third-party tracking or analytics. The only thing stored on your device is the local storage described above, which we set directly and use for nothing beyond remembering your preferences and workspace on this site. If that changes — for example, if advertising is added later — this policy will be updated first, and (where required) a cookie-consent notice will be shown before anything beyond that local storage is set.

Third-party data

This tool's dictionary data comes from the CMU Pronouncing Dictionary (public domain) and WordNet, Princeton University (BSD-style license) — see About & Credits. Both are static datasets shipped with the site; looking a word up does not send that word anywhere.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
